To have or not to have a kid... Gauri's dilemma in Balika Vadhu

Anjum Farooki (Gauri)
Colors’ Balika Vadhu has always managed to gain the desired numbers. In the show, Gauri (Anjum Farooki) and Jagat (Shashank Vyas) have come back to Mumbai from Jagat’s village. Furthermore, a little birdie from the sets revealed to us that the upcoming episodes will be replete with drama and anxiety.
Gauri and Jagat’s friends will visit them at their Mumbai residence. During a conversation, Gauri’s friends will ask her to rethink on her decision to have a kid as it will mean putting her professional career and future at stake.
The source further revealed to us that Gauri will be in a dilemma to have the kid or not after being mistreated at Jagat’s parental home. She will also be scared of the fact that her child might be considered illegitimate in the future.
However, given the magical twist and turns in a daily soap, the couple will soon get engulfed in the process of buying a car.
Jagat will intend to buy a car for Gauri as he wants her to travel comfortably during pregnancy. In the meantime, Gauri will purchase a second hand car from Nivedita – the donor of the hospital where the couple works. Gauri’s move will utterly upset Jagat who will later create an issue out of it.
While all this drama will unfold in Mumbai, in the village Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee) will meet Shravan (Fahad Ali). He is a well-educated boy hailing from the same village as Anandi’s. Shravan will come to meet Anandi and seek for a better employment. Anandi will help Shravan and she will take him to Tausa, who will appoint him as an accountant in his godown.
We spoke to Anjum Farooki but she refused to divulge any information, however she told us that there will be interesting twists and turns in the show.

Sayali Bhagat accuses Big B, Sajid, Aarya and Shiney of sexual harassment

Sayali Bhagat
27-year old actor Sayali Bhagat - who has starred in The Train and Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap, and will be seen shortly in Tinu Verma’s The Weekend – has called Bollywood “an industry filled with lechers who treat women like me like a piece of meat.”
She announced that she was quitting Bollywood for good and would move to Milan to pursue a career in modeling. But before quitting, she wanted to bare her heart about the passes and sexual advances senior and respected actors and directors have made towards her in the seven years she has been in Bollywood.
Sayali said that she would be lodging a police complaint against Shiney Ahuja and his wife Anupam.
“But Shiney is not the only one who has made passes at me or sexually harassed me in the film industry. I would like to bring to the media’s notice some first hand experiences,” she says in a note sent out by her talent management agency Crème Talent Management.
Among those she has accused of making advances towards her include: Amitabh Bachchan (she accuses him of feeling up her butt when she bent down to take his blessings at the first look of Tinu Verma’s This Weekend recently), Sajid Khan(during the casting of Housefull she says “he stripped naked in front of me and asked me to have sex with him in his office”), and Aarya Babbar (her costar inChoron Ki Baraat; “he has been sending me countless lewd messages and graphic MMS’ of his private parts trying to lure me into bed”).
She further adds that “there are so many of us who are silently suffering this kind of harassment for so many years. But I can’t take it anymore. I am fed up of being treated like an available piece of meat and the only reason I am sharing all this with my media friends, is because I don’t believe in taking harassment lying down. It is high time the truth came out. I will be filing police complaints against Shiney, Sajid, Aarya and Mr Bachchan and take them all to court if need be.”
Clearly, Sayali believes in going out with a big bang.

Raja Chaudhary refuses to enter Bigg Boss house

Raja Chaudhary
Bigg Boss season 5 gained eyeballs with its initial strategy of all-female-with-one-male cast. However, later, the makers in order to spice up the show brought in actor Amar Upadhyay and young and dynamic VJ Siddharth. And now the latest news that is floating in is that Raja Chaudhary – who is currently part of Sunil Agnihotri’s Kahani Chandrakanta Ki on Sahara One – was approached to enter the house. However, the actor, who has a penchant to get into trouble, refused it.
Raja has already been a part of the show’s second season and he gained popularity for his ‘angry young man’ avatar. In the house, he hurled abuses at the drop of a hat. Interestingly, a source revealed to us that Raja was approached again by the makers in order to up the drama quotient along with Shraddha Sharma, who is already an inmate in the house. Raja claims that Shraddha is his girlfriend but she maintains that they are just good friends.
The channel wanted Raja to enter the house on the day of Shraddha’s birthday on October 23. But Raja preferred staying out of the house.
“I wasn’t happy with the deal that they were offering me. They wanted me to stay in the house for a long time,” said Raja to Tellychakkar.
For information, in an identical fashion Ali Mercchant was brought in the house last season to be with his real life girlfriend Sara Khan. And the rest is history. The couple went on to marry in the show, a feat that sent TRPs soaring.
In another development, if media reports are to be believed then Akashdeep Sehgal – who gained popularity for his role Ansh Gujral in popular daily soapKyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi- is all set to enter the house today. He has also been a part of reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Fear Factor, Comedy Circus,Zor Ka Jhatka and others. In the show, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, he was thrown out due to his short-tempered behaviour.
Well, certainly the week ahead will be full of drama, fun, and masalaBigg Bossseason 5 is definitely worth a watch.

I want to be with Yuvraj forever, but don't want to marry him: Pearl Grey

Pearl Grey
Pearl Grey boarded a Mumbai bound train without a ticket with a dream to enter the entertainment industry. A decade later, she is one of the more successful producers in the TV industry. Her show, Pratigya, has not only struck the right chords with the masses but also impressed critics.
Pearl’s split with director-producer Rajan Shahi sent ripples across the TV industry. Furthermore, media has written extensively about her relationship with actor Yuvraj Malhotra.
In a no holds barred interview with Tellychakkar, Pearl spoke pretty openly about her professional and personal life. Excerpts:
Pratigya is still entertaining the masses. How did you come up with its concept?
I have my roots in Uttar Pradesh. I have seen how women get mistreated there. Eve-teasing is rampant. So, it was always in the back of my mind to deal with this issue. Furthermore, Pratigya deals with varied problems faced by women all across India. It is a fight against exploitation, discrimination and humiliation against women. The show clicked as people could relate to it. I want to thank Manmohan Shetty’s Walkwater Productions for joining hands with me in this endeavour.
Did you always want to be a part of the entertainment industry?
Not really. It just happened, but somewhere deep down the urge was always there. After finishing college, I boarded a Mumbai bound train without a ticket in the year 1997-98. It was crazy. I wanted to produce shows, but then writing happened. So I started writing which gave me respect. The first show which I wrote was Suhana Safar. My biggest success came with Dil Hain Ki Manta Nahin. Then things rolled on, I joined Zee, learnt a lot and finally opened my own production house.
How did Spellbound Productions happen?
Well, after I quit Zee TV I knew I had to do something on my own. I wanted to produce my own shows where I could depict my thoughts and ideas. I wanted more freedom as a writer. I want to thank Vivek Bahl who helped me a lot to float Spellbound Productions in 2009. We are young but certainly growing.
How has the journey been till date?
Enlightening and amazing. My stint at Zee TV helped me to grow professionally and become a good producer and a better writer. The journey has been long and growth oriented. I am quite happy with the way things have shaped up.
You were married to Rajan Shahi. Later you both parted ways. What went wrong?
Ahhh (silence). I met Rajan during the show Dil Hain Ki Manta Nahin. I was looking for a new director so I roped in Rajan, as he was quite talented. We bonded on the sets and fell in love. We got married in 2000. This was my second marriage. But somehow things did not work out; there were differences of opinions, so we decided to call it quits in 2008. But everything happened amicably. We are still in touch with each other.
Continue…
I never wanted to become a businesswoman. I have always seen myself as a good wife, a good mother and a good homemaker. No one really marries with the thought of parting ways in the future. It’s painful and sad. Life is not a bed of roses. We need to move on.
What about your children?
I have two children who stay with me. I have Ansh (16) from my first marriage and Ishika (9) from Rajan. Both are beautiful, lovely and well-behaved.
Did the split affect them?
I don’t think so. Ishika is too young and Ansh is mature enough. Divorces are not a new thing in Mumbai. Ansh has friends who have greater and graver problems at home. So, I don’t think it affected them much.
What’s your equation with actor Yuvraj Malhotra?
Yuvraj and I are deeply in love with each other. We met during a social function in 2009 and later fell in love. He is eight years younger to me. A lot has been written about us in the media. They said we have decided to part ways. But it is not true. Who doesn’t fight in a relationship? It is not easy for people to digest the fact that an older woman can be in a healthy and steady relationship with a younger man. But we have proved everyone wrong. My children have also accepted Yuvraj. But I don’t want to marry him. Marriages make things difficult. So, I will be with him forever, but won’t marry.
Do you have insecurities in life?
No. I have always been comfortable in my own space. I have complete faith in my hard work. I know one thing pretty clearly. I have to work hard to give my children a good life. Whatever I do is for the good of my children.
The TV industry keeps you busy 24/7. How do you unwind?
After a hectic day, the only thing that calms me down is a long drive. I absolutely love it.
What are your future plans?
We are coming up with a show on Star Plus called Pyaar Ki Naukri. It will depict a different love story based in Mumbai. We are yet to finalise the cast and crew. Later, we shall also come up with more TV shows and definitely make a foray into film production. So, there’s a lot in store for the future (smiles).
