The Award will be tied-in with the magnificent "White OliveTree", an invaluable marble, platinum and diamonds sculpture. The award also celebrates the tenth anniversary of the "Kinéo Diamanti al Cinema" Award.

World Diamond Group establishes a prize to be awarded during the 68th Venice Film Festival, in the context of the event Kineo "Diamanti al Cinema" event, to emphasize his belief in art as a privileged means to establish, together with respect for justice and human rights, true and lasting friendship relationships among peoples. The first "World Diamond Group Platinum Award for Peoples' Friendship " is assigned to Preity Zinta engaged in the work of people of different cultures harmonization and reconciliation, contributing in this way to the World Diamond Group mission of enhancing, through beauty and peoples' friendship to the birth of a culture and a civilization that over time produce peace and prosperity.

The award is symbolized by a sculpture, the "White Olive Tree", born of a quest for purity, created by the artist and theologian Agatino Cappella, Art Director of World Diamond Group. It consists of a block of Carrara hand carved marble for the tree trunk, 3,333 grams of platinum for branches and leaves, and of 3,003 diamonds, 2,503 marquise cut and 500 new 82 facets round cut, for a total of 366 carats. It's a work of art which has no precedent in history, carried out, under the direction of the artist Agatino Cappella, in the Factory of Roberto Casarotto, where the fusion and the processing of platinum were performed. After being shown at the Venice Film Festival, the "White Olive Tree" will be exposed at Palazzo Lascaris in Turin, before starting a world tour, in other prestigious venues.

The olive tree symbolises a tree that brings together different cultures around the Mediterranean Sea, and is widespread in many countries around the world. It has always been a symbol of peace and light and its oil is one of the most common foods of the Mediterranean peoples and, more recently, in the world. These symbols are emphasized by platinum, the precious white metal par excellence, expression of purity, incorruptibility, eternity, by diamonds, expression of eternal light, and by the marble, expression of a new Italian Renaissance. A worthy tribute to the women of our time who, confronted with important choices, keep intact their belief in the values and quality.

Run-way 'Rascals' Delay Flights!

If you've ever wondered how far the concept of making exceptions for celebrities can go – here's a brand new piece of gossip to take you by surprise.
Busy with the shooting of Sanjay Dutt's home co-production with Rupali Aum Entertainment,Rascals, in the Thai capital Bangkok, the cast and crew lead by David Dhawan recently exceeded their permissible time limit while shooting a climax sequence on the runway of the city's international airport. The said scenes involved actors Sanjay and Ajay to be dressed as Santa Clauses riding fancy bikes – and resulted in more retakes than had been anticipated. Consequently, when the crew requested of the authorities to be granted extra time to wrap up the scene that same day, permission was duly given; the incoming flights in the meanwhile were asked to circle around for the time that David's team took to pack up from their shoot on the runway.
The film makers have been heard expressing deep gratitude towards the Thai authorities thereafter, to have been allowed such convenience, which they candidly state might hardly have been possible had the shooting been slotted for an Indian airport.
While the gesture may seem considerate with regard to the filming team, one can't help but debaqte over the fairness of such allowance, objectively speaking, in upholding flights that were due in the delay period.

Special Screening of Force

fter trailers of Force have started airing, and seeing the hunky John Abraham play the role of an anti-narcotic officer, the jawans of the Indian military have taken a keen interest in seeing the John and Genelia D'Souza starrer, and requested a special screening from producer Vipal Shah.

Their wish was granted as a special screening of the film - a remake of the successful Tamil filmKaakha Kaakha (2003) - was held. The screening took place a day before the original release date in as many digital theaters that are available. Around 48 cantonments across the country had the chance to watch the movie before the general public.

Inspiration of what! We hope that the real Indian jawans are impressed with this military-focused film.

Salman's agenda for 2012

Salman KhanSalman Khan is the flavor of the season and rightly so. With BODYGUARD emerging a major money-spinner at the ticket window, the media is focusing on Salman and only Salman since the past few days. Be it the mind-boggling start undertaken by his new film BODYGUARD at the box-office or his surgery in the U.S., not a day passes when you don't read or watch a news bulletin about the developments in the actor's personal and professional life.

Now here's something about the actor not many know. Salman, who underwent surgery last week in the U.S., has started promoting BODYGUARD while recuperating in the U.S. [he has been advised a week's rest by the doctors]. Fully aware that he's required to reach out to his fans when his movie releases, the actor has started connecting with Indian moviegoers via television, radio and print interviews.

Meanwhile, the actor will commence filming EK THA TIGER at a foreign destination. And like this year, which witnessed two releases [READY and BODYGUARD], Salman will have two releases next year as well -- Yash Raj's EK THA TIGER [which will release soon after the IPL cricket matches] and Sohail Khan's SHER KHAN [Eid release].

Big Boss Season 5 Show Mein 1st Time Pregnant Contestant

Bigg Boss 5 nominations: Pooja Misrra vs Nihita Biswas

All the glitz and glam of the opening show is over and the real game of ‘eliminations’ in Bigg Boss 5 has begun.
In the first elimination process of Bigg Boss 5, housemates nominated Pooja Misrra and Nihita Biswas.
As Shakti Kapoor is the captain of the Bigg Boss house for this week, he was asked to nominate four people for eliminations. Shakti voted against Nihita Biswas, Pooja Misrra, Gulabo Sapera, and Laxmi Narayan. And then rest of the housemates, except the ones nominated had to vote out two from the list.
Pooja Misrra, Nihita Biswas
Interestingly, except Shraddha Sharma everyone in the house voted against Pooja Misrra. May be Pooja’s tantrums over the air conditioner, her indifferent attitude and finally grumbling about Shakti Kapoor landed her in trouble.
As the housemates said, they failed to connect with Nihita and five people voted against her. Her statements regarding husband Charles Sobhraj has surely backfired for Nihita. In the late night bonding session with Pooja Missra, Nihita took a dig at Pooja Bedi and said, “If I am here because of my husband, she’s here because of her father.”
While Laxmi looked relived after nominations were over, Gulabo broke down into tears. Anyways Gulabo’s journey in Bigg Boss doesn’t seem to be really long, thanks to the mixed feelings of housemates about her.
Now, we will have to wait for a few days to find out who stays in the house and who goes home. Till then, let’s enjoy Shakti Kapoor flirting around with the stunning housemates and the daily dose of catfights.

Bigg Boss 5, catfights begin: Nihita Biswas, Shraddha Sharma at loggerheads

The Bigg Boss 5 journey has just begun and so are the arguments between housemates.
While all other contestants were busy with the first weekly task of Bigg Boss 5, Nihita Biswas and Shraddha Sharma were seen fighting over their daily chores.
Nihita and Sharddha were supposed to clean the dishes together. However, Nihita felt Sharddha wasn’t doing her bit. After a high voltage drama between the two, other housemates separated them for while. Still the blame game went on for long. And as usual, Nihita the official cry baby of Bigg Boss was seen sobbing again.
Shakti Kapoor felt, both of them are just vying for the camera attention, otherwise there was no scope of an argument over such a trivial issue.
It seems Nihita is a bit immature and short tempered. If Indian ‘Janta’ saves her this week, we will surely get to see a lot of arguments in the Bigg Boss house.
The recently started Bigg Boss 5 is making headlines constantly, thanks to its unusual mix of contestants, 13 females and one male. This week, Nihita Biswas and Pooja Misrra have been nominated by the housemates for eliminations.

In 'Bigg Boss 5' for new challenges: Nihita

Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of serial killer Charles Sobhraj, says that she is participating in the reality show 'Bigg Boss 5' to explore new challenges in life.
"We are just demanding a fair trial. It is a basic thing that we are asking for. He has been illegally convicted. He has been kept as a hostage in an illegal place. We would challenge the verdict in other court," Nihita claimed.
Sobhraj, who is of Indian and Vietnamese origin, has monikers like 'the serpent' and 'the bikini killer'. He allegedly committed at least 12 murders throughout Southeast Asia during the 70s, targetting mostly the Western tourists.
He has been behind bars in a Kathmandu prison since 2003 and fighting a legal battle in three courts there with each of them convicting him in connection with the murder of an American tourist in 1975.
Nihita, 22, shot to fame three years ago when she married Sobhraj in Kathmandu prison claiming she had fallen in love with him.
Nihita said she agreed to participate in the fifth season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss' to explore new challenges in life.
"Doing reality shows was never on my mind. I had not thought of it....it happened just that when I got the offer. I got a call for participating in this show and my husband said I must do it. He was very supportive. I think it will be a nice and different experience for me. It will also help me connect with different people," Nihita said.
"Prior to this (Bigg Boss 5) there were no offers from any reality show. I guess this show suits me. I like the concept of the show of being tried and tested in different situations. I can say the show is a challenge...like everything in life is a challenge. So I need to experience this challenge," she added.
Replying to a query regarding her perception regarding the show being hosted by actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, she said "there is no purpose or reason to coming to this show. I am here only to get the new experience. One must try different things in life. I am going to be just myself on the show. There is no strategy that I would follow to woo other contestants".
"I have no expectations from the show. I do not know the consequences of doing this show. I don't know the outcome," Nihita added.
